The M.Act.Sc. is a professional Masters degree, designed for candidates with little or no previous study in actuarial science. It is not suitable for applicants with an actuarial science undergraduate degree. There is very limited financial support for applicants in this program. Most students in this program will be self-supporting. However, it should be noted that students registered in this discipline may be eligible for NSERC and/or OGS support. Furthermore, there are a limited number of internal scholarships that can be awarded at the discretion of the director of the program.

The M.Math (Actuarial Science) is a research-oriented degree program designed for applicants with substantial prior study in actuarial science. Some financial support is available for students on this program, through research assistantships, teaching assistantships and scholarships.
